Testimonials
During the camp the students proved to be enormously dedicated to their craft, putting in extra hours and working weekends to ensure the desired outcome of their video games. Keshav Behari, a recent graduate of Horizon High School and current ASU freshman, pulled an all-nighter before the end of CampGame 07, ironing out the last-minute glitches before his team debuted their game. “I just tried to find any bugs and tweaked everything a little. I also got our bonus feature in,” Behari said. “It was stressful, but I’ve never had more fun.” “We get about 25 students every year all wanting to join the video game industry, and after the six gruesome weeks that they endure about 40% have second thoughts on whether this industry is the right place for them. That pretty much is the essence of CampGame, take the glamour element out and expose the reality to the high school kids so they can plan better for their future.” |
