Service and Enterprise Systems

There are significant challenges that exist in the design, specification, and development of intra-organizational enterprise systems as well as business-to-business and business-to-customer enterprise systems. To address theses challenges, our research group addresses new directions in service-oriented computing, service-oriented architectures, and service-oriented software development. We also focus on process modeling and service orchestration together with middleware for event processing and service execution. Additional aspects of our research address scalability and performance of enterprise systems as well as semantic description of services and the manner in which semantics can assist in the design and implementation of service-oriented applications.
