Scholarships and Fellowships

Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering scholarships are funded by a variety of sources, including private donors, corporations and alumni. Scholarship amounts vary from $300-$5000 per academic year. Criteria and application deadlines also vary. For undergraduate students.

Minimum Standard Criteria Requirements:

  • Recipient must remain enrolled in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering in their listed major for the duration of the award.
  • Recipients must enroll in a minimum of 12 hours per semester for a total of 24 semester hours during the academic year. (Spring and Fall semesters)

Financial Aid Requirement

If financial need is a scholarship requirement, you must have a current FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file in the ASU Student Financial Assistance Office. Please contact Student Financial Assistance with questions.

Scholarships Available

Future Engineers Scholarship Program - Kelly Engineering

This national program will award one outstanding sophomore or junior-level student with $5,000 for 2010 tuition expenses. Information about the Future Engineers scholarship program, eligibility requirements, and application materials can be found at http://www.kellyengineering.com/scholarships. The application deadline is October 15, 2009, and scholarship funds will be awarded in January 2010 to be used toward eligible expense for tuition, fees, books, and room and board.

2009 NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program

The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program which is administered by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is officially accepting applications for the 2009 Aeronautics Scholarship Program. 2009 - 2010 ASU Parents Association Scholarship Awards

The ASU Parents Association scholarship application is now available. Multiple awards of $4,000 ($2,000 per semester) for the 2009 - 2010 academic year will be based on financial need, a strong commitment to community service and/or university involvement and achievement of personal and educational goals. The deadline for applications is February 27, 2009. For undergraduate students. Information and the application are available on the ASU Parents Association website.

Students are encouraged to check out the various fellowships, internship and grants programs for undergraduate and graduate students offered at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Opportunities for domestic students can be found at: http://university.gsfc.nasa.gov/.

Fulton Graduate Fellowships

The Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University has created a new online application for graduate fellowships. With a single online form, you can apply for multiple fellowships of varying amounts - from $1,000 up to $25,000. Fellowships are available for both new and continuing students. To be considered for fellowships for the 2009-2010 academic year, please complete the online application by February 14, 2009 at https://fultonapps.asu.edu/gradscholarship/apply/.

Please note that fellowship funds are very limited, especially for students who are not United States citizens. Completing the application is no guarantee that you will receive fellowship funding. The fellowship selection committees will consider all aspects of your application, so please answer each question thoughtfully and thoroughly. AHETEMS Scholarship Program

The Advancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math, and Science (AHETEMS) Scholarship Program is designed to enhance and achieve the potential of Latino students pursuing degrees in engineering, math and science. Merit-based and need-based scholarships are awarded, in the amount of $1,000 - $5,000, to deserving Latino/a high school graduating seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students who demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. AfterCollege Engineering Student Scholarship

AfterCollege is funding four $500 scholarships, exclusively for students seeking a bachelors, masters, or doctorate in the field of engineering. This scholarship will be given four times annually. The first scholarship deadline is March 31st.

Scholarships for future Computer Scientists!

The Google Scholarship program is currently accepting applications from students studying computer science or computer engineering who are juniors or seniors in college or pursuing a Master's or PhD. We have received few applications so far, and have $100,000 in scholarship funds to award this year.

Individual scholarships are for $10,000. Selected students will be invited to an all-expenses paid trip to the Google Headquarters in California in spring 2010.
