Undergraduate Research
CSE Undergraduate Research Scholarship
In an effort to support strong academic performance among our undergraduate students and to encourage interest in graduate studies, the School of Computing and Informatics offers the CSE Undergraduate Research Scholarship to fund undergraduate research. Please review the following guidelines.

Faculty must initiate all applications and turn them into the School. These applications will not be accepted from students. However, if students are interested in this scholarship, please ask the participating faculty to initiate the application.

Faculty overseeing research must commit $1,000 to student support.

Students can work a maximum of ten hours per week in the faculty’s lab.

The School will award an additional $1,000 to the student

Monies will be awarded on a semester basis.

All applications must be received by posted deadlines as indicated on the application.

The application process is competitive

All students must meet the qualifications listed below.
Student Qualifications:

Grade Point Average of 3.25 or above .

Must be registered for at least 12 credit hours .

Junior/Senior level .
Every student receiving this award is expected to produce a poster at the end of the semester in which they received financial support at the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative Symposium. Instructions for completing these posters will be provided.

Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative
An unparalleled undergraduate research opportunity is open to CSE students through the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI). Make proposals funding the work you want in the research program. For driven students, get paid performing research under the honors thesis program. Showcase your achievements and become aware of your peers in the symposium. Fly to national conferences to present your research findings under the travel grant program.
